We received a lot of snow from Monday night through Wednesday and we thought that for a week in Breck, we had hit the jackpot. Well, it’s snowing again with big fluffy flakes and we can’t wait to see what’s on the ground in the morning. We have had to dig out the car three different times this week. Plus, our path down to the hot-tub has needed frequent shoveling.
This morning we had to get some work done and then run some errands so it wasn’t until around 12:30 pm when we got onto the mountain. For a half-day, we had a lot of fun and the conditions are great. Rumor has it that Breckenridge is close to opening peak 7.
Tomorrow, the Dew Tour will have street side events on Main Street and it’s definitely worth a walk downtown to see it. According to their app, the snowboarding is from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm and the skiing is from 7:00 pm to 7:45 pm. Based on the crowd last year, get their early for a good spot. I’ll try to post pictures after the event tomorrow.
