If you’re in Breckenridge this coming week of January 7 – 14, 2017, you really need to attend some of the Ullr Fest activities. The highlight of the week will be the parade down Main Street. The parade is on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 4:30 pm.
We won’t be able to be there, but, I can confirm this is a fun time. The first time we went to Breckenridge, it coincidentally was the same time as Ullr Fest. We got into town during the early afternoon on Thursday of that week and walked into town for lunch after unloading our car. While we were there we saw some signs for the parade that afternoon so we walked back to the condo and unpacked then headed back down for the parade.
The parade was a lot of fun. The main thing we all remember was the float that had a ski ramp on it and people were skiing while it went down Main Street. There was a very festive atmosphere all over town and everyone had a great time watching the parade go by.
If you’re looking for a fun way to enjoy an adult beverage, they will also be having the Ullr Shot Ski at 4:15 pm. This is the world’s longest shot ski and only costs $5 to participate. The proceeds to go to Breckenridge Mountain Rotary, so it’s for a good cause!
