We’ve been most of the years for the past decade and I can tell you it’s a lot of fun. Most of the events are free, so you don’t have to worry about blowing your budget while you’re there. However, they do have upgrade tickets that give you access to special events and, more importantly, the heated VIP viewing tower.

The highlight for us has always been the Streetstyle Competition. This year, the competition will be downtown on Friday, December 14, 2018. The snowboarding is at 6:00 PM and the skiing is at 7:00 PM.

The Street Style Competition is downtown on Washington Avenue as it approaches Main Street. You should get there early if you want a good spot. If you’ve never seen this event, they build a ski slope on Washington Avenue. It’s a really cool, fun free event right downtown.

The on-mountain activities take place mostly on Peak 8 or in the Terrain Parks off of 4 O’Clock Run. One thing to keep in mind, you’ll need to walk to the viewing area off the run. It’s not a bad idea to just go up the lift from the bottom of the lift, they have a foot pass. The Dew Tour website says these passes are free, but we’ve got season passes so I never needed to check this out for sure. You’ll need to look for chair 7, also known as Rips Ride.

You can also ski or ride down to the event. Just be prepared to carry your skis or snowboard with you. Once you get to the area, you’ll have to walk to the event. Walking to the events isn’t bad for snowboarders but skiers can have a harder time with their boots, skis and poles.

If you are going to ski or ride, you might consider taking the Snowflake lift since it drops you off just above Rips Ride. This is what we do since our condo is right across the street from the Snowflake Lift.

So, now, you’ll want to dig into all the details and here are your links:

  • The official Dew Tour website is out and updated with all the details. You can find schedules, locations and even buy gear from their site.
  • GoBreck.com is the official website for the Town of Breckenridge is always a great place to start. Here is their rundown: Click here for Dew Tour Info.
  • Here’s a handy Trail Map of Breckenridge to help you find your way to tour.
  • And of course, the Breckenridge Resort website has a full website of all events and other resources to help you plan your stay.

Now the good stuff, since we’re not going to be there, we’re opening up our condo so you can rent it. We’re right on the 4 O’Clock Run and just above the Snowflake Lift. From our condo, you can get to all the events very easily. Also, for town, you can take a quick walk down either 4 O’Clock Run or use the street, 4 O’Clock Road. Either way, it’s about 1/2 mile so it doesn’t take more than 10 or 15 minutes. Of course, you can also catch one of the Breckenridge Free Ride buses.

You can check availability and rates here. You can also check out other options through our management company, Ski Colorado Vacation Rentals.
